Working as part of Absolute’s award-winning Channel Sales team, the Channel Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting our Global Channel Program and providing operational support to the Global Channel Sales teams.
 
The Channel Operations Specialist will be responsible for a combination of pre-sales, and post-sales work, looking for areas of operational improvement and optimization. The Channel Operational Specialist is also expected to maintain job, product, systems, and tools knowledge.  Proven experience in sales, channel sales, business development and analysis, or in other administrative positions will be considered a plus.
 
Responsibilities Include:
Partner Program Support
  • Partner account management – Includes new partner account set-up, onboarding, operational enablement and maintaining accurate partner account information
  • Daily support for various channel sales administrative tasks – Includes deal registration, partner lead management and partner authorization
  • Identify and collect program metrics to assist management in assessment and measurement of various channel programs and overall business results
  • Contribute to efforts to optimize current processes, collaborating with Channel Sales, Finance, Order Management, Business Applications and Global Support, as appropriate
Channel Sales Support
  • Point of contact for daily operational maters for specific channel workflows
  • Work with Channel Marketing and Channel Sales leaders to help design and execute on various channel initiatives
  • Resolve partner transactional issues that may arise from the sales process (i.e. quoting, order fulfillment resolution, channel reporting, etc.) identifying areas for optimization.
  • Global channel pricelist management – supporting new product introduction process, and pricelist management
Ongoing Knowledge Transfer: 
  • Attend training sessions offered; grow knowledge of Absolute products/services and internal systems
  • Stay current on Channel Marketing collateral and related product / service positioning
  • Contribute to a customer-focused environment that encourages information sharing, team-based collaboration, and an absolute focus on channel growth
  • Protect the security and privacy of Absolute and its customers
What You’ll Need:
  • 4-year college degree from an accredited institution – Finance, Business Administration or Marketing a plus
  • 2-4 years of related experience (i.e. customer service, finance, channel sales, channel marketing)
  • Creative thinker and problem solver, willing to take on difficult challenges
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, MS Excel and MS Power BI; Clari, NetSuite and partner management tools, such as Allbound a plus
  • Broad knowledge of the end-to-end process of channel sales and partner management a plus
  • Excellent customer-engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to organize and prioritize daily tasks without compromising key SLAs
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel one to two weeks out of the year for sales meetings and training
  • Flexibility in work availability for extended hours at the end of the quarter

The base pay range for this position is from CAD $50,000 -$60,000 annually; the base pay offered is determined by the market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position will be eligible for our annual bonus program.
