By delivering software solutions aimed at adding value to healthcare and life science organizations the HSGBU has the opportunity to be at the forefront of enabling better patient outcomes within the industry. The global life sciences consulting delivery team within the HSGBU works with our life science customers to implement Electronic Data Capture (EDC), Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and Data Management platform software solutions that enable them to deliver innovative therapies, diagnostics devices and optimized care processes to prevent and cure illness.
We are looking for a Senior Principal Consultant who is an experienced consulting professional that has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Qualified candidates need to operate independently to provide quality work products to an engagement.

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
- Lead technical implementation projects of Oracle’s Data Management Workbench (DMW) and Life Sciences Hub (LSH) data management and data warehousing solutions including, technical implementation of environments, security model implementation, validation and user acceptance testing, mentoring on product functionality, facilitation of workshops, customer presentations and technical troubleshooting.
- Lead configuration of the DMW platform including definition of the clinical data flow, data models and related transformations, validation checks, and code required to support customer requirements and coordinate with customer, development and quality assurance teams as needed. Liaison with cloud implementation teams to ensure installation and configuration of the platform in the Oracle cloud and setup of related integrations.
- Consult on related HSGBU life science platform of products (Clinical 1, InForm, Central Designer, Central Coding, InForm Adapter, TMS) and relevant integration/business process implications for DMW/LSH platform.
- Lead technical integration projects for the DMW platform with related HSGBU products/solutions and third party integrated systems for customer trials, this includes but is not limited to, requirements gathering, analysis, & documentation, system configuration and testing, coordination with design and testing teams.
- Extensive customer and vendor interactions which can include mentoring sessions, training sessions, system and configuration guidance, system troubleshooting & overall consulting on a wide array of products/solutions.
- Lead custom solution projects including analyzing customer needs, solution/architecture design, scoping, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Coordinate with internal project management, consulting, support, and product development resources to ensure timely and quality customer delivery, address issues and shape new offerings.
- Use structured HSGBU consulting methodology for all integration, implementation, and mentoring projects
Technical Skills:
- DMW and LSH application experience
- Clinical 1, InForm or other EDC platform experience preferred.
- Languages – PL/SQL, SQL, C#.NET, XML, Java, Shell
- Operating Systems - Linux, Windows
- Oracle database
- Web services, API programing
- SAS
- Knowledge of CDISC data standards (CDASH, SDTM)
Consulting Skills
- Knowledge of clinical research industry and practices and regulations is a plus
- Strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
- Prior consulting experience in the life sciences industry preferred
- Experience and understanding of computer systems and software application implementation including knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle).
- Strong organizational skills, with a track record of managing multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work as part of a team, yet work independently on complex problems.
